Ryanair opens a new operating base at Katowice Airport and announces a launch of 12 new routes.

Michael O’Leary, CEO of Ryanair Group, at a press conference on the 4th of September announced that in 2020 the carrier will be basing 6 airplanes (Boeing 737-800NG) at the Katowice Airport. During the conference it was also announced that from Summer 2020 there will be 18 regular connections from KTW:

  • Athens
  • Birmingham
  • Dublin
  • Edinburgh
  • Bologna
  • Brindisi
  • Cork
  • Dortmund
  • Göteborg
  • Catania
  • Kiev
  • Cologne
  • Manchester
  • Oslo-Torp
  • Paphos
  • London Stansted
  • Milan-Bergamo
  • Odessa

According to estimations, new routes from Katowice Airport will allow to serve 1,25 mln of passengers, which will result in an increase - 45 % comparing to 2019.
